       LET THE GOOD TIMES ROLL

When I was just a youngster
My mother bought for me
A pair of Sears' rol-ler skates
A lot of falls I could foresee.

I skated on the cemetery walks
On the road in front of our home
But years passed by; I grew older
To roller rinks, I began to roam.

I bought a pair of white shoe-skates
To skating rinks around I went
Cotton Bowl Rink and Vickery Rink
A lot of skating and time was spent.

Armed Forces Service Men were there
Army, Navy, Marines all came
Present were the Air Corp Men
They were my favorite, I always claimed.

There was this one Air Force guy
I don't recall his name
When trio time would come 'round
To Myrt and I; he'd always claim.

My mother use to watch us skate
She could not understand
Why girls would fall for-ward
But back-ward, the boys would land.

My skates have seen some good ole times
Happy memories: fun times to re-call
I met and made a lot of friends
All I can say is, "LET THE GOOD TIMES ROLL"!
