A Visit To The Zoo

I know a precious little girl

From McKenzie, Tennessee

Who came to town one day

To her loving Gram to see.

This little girl is known as Emma

Who captures everyone's heart

While visiting with her Gram

The two won't be apart.

What shall they do for fun this day?

It's June with air so hot and dry

Gram decided on the Dallas Zoo

Trinity Railway Express: Grams decided to try.

So riding the train to the Dallas Zoo

But caps they'll wear to shade the eyes

Lots of animals they saw that day

Even went wading, Emma wasn't shy.

Many activities for the children to do

Seeing things work and working the puzzle

It is a challenge for their minds

When Emma finished, she gave Gram a nuzzle.

Even a horse, Miss Emma rode,

Altho' the horse won no race

Miss Emma sure had lots oof fun

The wooden horse stayed in the slow pace.

"Come on Gram, lets go,

There's more animals I want to see

Gram, no fishes have I seen today

Don't they have some from the sea?"

Miss Emma looks so sleepy~tired

It's getting late and we must go

Gram and Emma all tired out

As they headed for the Dart depot.

We made it back to the Trinity Express

Found some seats and we stretched out

Ready to head out to Big Cowtown

A nap for two, there'll be no doubt.

One last photo for the day

As they departed from the train

Tomorrow they'll plan something to do

Love for each other will always remain.
