I read one day in the K. Falls paper
Of a "wild horse roundup" being made
At times, the wild horses are so many
Hunting for grassland, farmers they invade.
Ken says in Australia a roundup occurred
Made with a copter just like his
Finding the horses high up in the hills
Doesn't take long, it's done in a whiz.
With a guy in a copter, flying so high
In valleys and hills, they'll make a raid
Flew up thru the valley: Hey, look there!
These horses should make the adoption grade.
The guy in the copter was stirring up dust
Herding the horses thru Calico Meadows
A beautiful white stallion was out in the lead
The stallion should bring some really big dough.
That stallion was leading, way out in front
I couldn't get him in the photo, you see
But he headed straight for the Calico Ranch
Where he'll no longer roam free.
The horses will be sold or adopted out
To homes where there is lots of love
They'll be gently broken and easy to ride
And will always be handled with a kid glove.
So Mr. Ken, would you like a job?
Flying your copter out on a hunt
To find some wild horses or maybe donkeys
Herding them in, will be no stunt.
