As I was out roaming over all my domain
Just to see what was in the field
Lots of gophers had piled up dirt
If I stay around long, they'll need a shield.
I saw a bunny rabbit and I wondered
Would my mistress like it? I'll take a chance
And I chased that little rascal down
With rabbit in mouth, to the house I did prance.
I left this rabbit on her back porch
Was she surprised when she came out?
With a shovel in hand, she dug a hole
For the poor little rabbit, no doubt.
I remember once, a snake I killed
That too, I took up to the house
I left it on the west sidewalk
'Cause my mistress is afraid of even a mouse.
I've seen deer on my domain
But they are too big for me to catch
I'll just have to lay and admire their beauty
I'll let them graze in my Bermuda Patch.
