Dorothy's City Slickers

I was told not long ago

Some baby ducklings had been bought

In far North Dallas by Dorothy's boss

For a pond out back they thought.

Too little were these baby ducklings

To be loose in this big city

So in a pen they were kept

Till almost grown and then set free.

These two ducks seem right at home

By the pond they rest a while

And as my niece was watching them

"City Slickers" she thought with a smile.

These duck will bring a lot of pleasure

To employees of their break

When refreshed and back to work

Hopefully, no mistake they'll make.

On the pond behind the office

These ducks will call it home

Surrounded with God's outdoor beauty

These beautiful ducks should never roam.
