Here I sit on this chimney top
Just waiting to get down
Maybe the hounds will go away
If I'll not make a sound.
I was tending to my own business
They shouldn't been chasing me
So I fooled them and got away
I had the last meow, you see.
I can see my things afar
Sitting high-up on this little spot
Down, I soon will have to go
Cause up here, it does get hot.
The hounds got bored and soon they left
Off they went on their neighborhood rounds
I'll creep to the eaves of this little house
In one giant leap, I'll land on the ground.
I'll land on all fours, o.k. I'll be
To find a quiet and cozy place
Where I can nap and rest awhile
But only, if I'll be safe.
