Mary, Mary, where are you?
Where is my friend of long ago?
Long time since last I heard from you
A friendship card from you I show.
I think in '98, I last wrote you
I think you must have received it
For you see, it was not returned
Need to know if you're o.k. That I'll admit.
My trips to Mesquite are not so often
Altho my sister still lives there
My son is living here with me
This September will be a year.
I'm a little older, but still the same
Retired from housekeeping: I mow the grass
I spend some time on son's computer
The next thing I know, the day has passed.
Should this memo reach your hand
Please, let me hear from you
For often I do think of you
I care. I love you, too.
