To Mom and Dad, you're precious now

Loads of happiness you have brought

With lots of grandparents to watch you grow.

Today, you're just two months old

Your first road trip with Mom and Dad

To Texas, where your loved ones live

You make us happy and we're so glad.

I guess I'll travel down the pike

To Mesquite, where you will be

For you see, you're new to me

For Emma Carol, I've not seen thee!

I bring to you this little card

This is my little gift of love

To save and add to: for college days

I know Mom and Dad will approve.

Like the graceful butterfly

A beautiful lady you will be
