Our Friendship Is A Treasure

Safely I arrived, in Cal-i-for-ni-a

The grape - wine country, I will stay

To visit old friends of days gone by

Our friendship started in high school days.

My Mom and I, we call him KEN

A 'copter license', he has earned

He says we'll take a copter ride

To where, I did not learn.

He took me for a ride one day

Flew south ~ To San Fran-cis-co Bay

Over Alta Mira in Sau-sa-li-to

Where we'll have our brunch on Sunday.

In Sacramento, there was "RAIL FAIR 99"

So Ken and I went to in-ves-ti-gate

Ole steam locos, cars and things

The Fair was big and oh, so great.

I did some other things while there

Drove North to ride the old Skunk Train

That was an all day journey trip

So over night ~ I did re-main.

Another day, I drove Northeast

Something there I had to try

Where you could go plane ~ glid-ing

I did it ~ just like soaring eagles fly.

My friends and I drove to the coast

I shopped in several towns

I bought some beautiful glass~ware pieces

And had them all shipped home.

I hate to leave my best good friends

For home I must return

But, I will come again one day

That trip I fear, I'll have to yearn.
