I bet you can never guess
What I saw on ABC last night
On the 20/20 newsmagazine
It was the most amusing sight.
Choreographer and filmaker, Anne Troake
Happened to drive by a construction site.
Seeing some humongous machinery there
Giant machines were working with all their might.
Driven by workers in their hard hats
The trio of excavators was very busy.
In Anne's mind, she conceived a film
Working with these excavators three.
"BIG MACHINES DANCING" was the title
She describes it as a "visual one-liner".
It could be graceful as it is quirky
As Anne thought, what could be better?

Anne learned more about these machines
And all the maneuvers they could make.
Then she planned a dance routine
A waltz, the workers would soon undertake.
The operators walked to their big machines
With her as our boss, today we'll have fun.
They starte the engines, then reving them up
Soon their dance routine had begun.
As directed by Anne, they danced in unison
They bowed and lifted their long booms to the sky.
With the buckets outreached, open and up
I eagerly watched for they had my eye.
With booms to the sky and buckets touching
Link a Maypole Dance, in a circle they waltzed.
Then in a row and all in unison
Lowering their booms, they danced and bowed.
With a bow, Anne's 4-minute waltz show
Had soon ended with onlookers cheering.
Makes you look at our world in a different way
It was really awesome, is all I'm saying.
