Where did we come from?
Two little white eggs we are
Was told a hen had laid us
In her nest with loving care.
All too soon, our adventure began
We were put in a carton, then into a crate
Shipped off to the grocery store we went
Then on our cartoon was stamped a date.
One day soon, Vina came in
Things to eat she needed to buy
Easter time was almost here, so
Get some eggs to decorate and dye.
Vina picked the carton we were in
Hurried home fast, to hard boil us
Only two did she boil. I wonder why?
We shall wait! We shall not fuss!
Soon we two had boiled enough
Cool, cool water poured into the pan
Some hi-liter pens were laid on the table
To decorate us, that was her plan.

First there was green, then some pink
Yellow, lilac and some red will do
Bands of color around us she painted
She topped us off with a coat of blue.
Decorated up for an Easter Egg Hunt
But that was not to be
For there were no kiddies to hunt for us
Just two lonely eggs, as you can see.
We two eggs were laid on the table
Vina and JR sat down to snack
JR claimed one of us as his
He left Vina the one with a crack.
Vina told JR, that's all right
The "Two Little Easter Eggs" Met their fate
On Easter Sunday at high noon
Right there on the side of their dinner plate.
