Jr and I went on a trip
Some old smoking trains we wanted to ride
So Colorado was the place to go
The old worn map would be out guide.
As we were driving one beautiful day
Near the Royal Gorge I found
A "Rock Shop" beside the road
"Rocks for Sale - By the Pound".
Two precious rocks I had to have
Would you believe it if I told you
I bought these two rocks of beauty
This story of my rocks is true.
A beauty of pink is the largest one
It's sperkled with a dash of white
Was found in the mountains high
To me, it sparkles with all its might.
The small rock is a pretty blue
Blue rocks I've never seen before
I thought it was expensive
Almost a pebble it looks to be.
I'm proud of my two Precious Rocks
Displayed right by my kitchen sink
Am I a bit off my rocker buying rocks?
Let me sit down and think!
I have many more rocks of interest
From lots of places that I have been
Just read my poem "Rocks of Many Colors"
And maybe you will see the beauty that I have seen.
