Was reading the paper the other day
A very amusing photo I did spy
Right there in black and white
A creature is hiding in that tree so high.
The creature high up in that tree
Near the truck he laid
It was "TANK" the cat, just staring
At the birdie who was afraid.

This little birdie wants to eat
Little by little it fluttered near
Approaching the feeder's perch to eat
As thought it had nothing to fear.
While "TANK" lays there being still
He watched the birdie eat and rest
As he peeks from behind the limb
Undisturbed by "TANK", birdie was blest.
