We drove to O-re-gon one summer
To get away from the noisy city
We found it so re-lax-ing
So thought I'd write this little ditty.
Was told Klamath Falls is a nice little town
In the foot hills of the Cas-cades
We thought we'd like to visit this town
A falls ~ God must have made.
The Chamber of Commerce, we did go
The lady there had maps galore
Of different things that we should see
As you can see, the falls was almost "never more".
What falls there were, was in the river
LINK RIVER was it's name
It flows thru, the west side of town
Known as the shortest river, is it's fame.
This river links Klamath Lake to Lake Ewana
There the head waters of Klamath River begins
Thru canyons and forest of beautiful trees
West ward to the Pacific Ocean, it descends.
One other place was marked on the map
North of Klamath Falls - called CRATER LAKE
A huge open crater, a mile down to water's edge
How much beauty can your eyes intake?
It has a rim road 'round the crest
Where people stop to view the scenes
All God's mak-ing for us to see
One awesome sight that's to be seen.
CRATER LAKE has an island ~ WIZARD ISLAND
Sits in the sky blue waters, as you can see
CRATER LAKE is our National Park
Oregon has only one~it's grandeur will always be.
